QA engineer

We’re looking for an experienced QA engineer to help us build a better web product. You should have extensive experience testing web applications, a strong understanding of UI/UX, and experience applying shift-left testing practices throughout the development process.

Analytical thinking and genuine curiosity about how things work are essential to the role. You’ll collaborate closely with development teams from the early stages, contribute to the growth of our testing practices, suggest process improvements, and help shape the product itself as an active user.

This is a remote position under a service agreement. Our engineering team typically starts the workday around 10 AM (GMT+1), so we’re looking for someone within ±4 hours of this time zone to make sure we have enough overlap to stay connected.

Who we are
Readymag is a design tool for creating websites, landing pages, portfolios, magazines, editorials, and presentations.
We’re a fully distributed team with a strong international user community and client-oriented service. We value a culture of questions and curiosity with a ‘measure what can be measured’ approach.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with developers, designers, and other product stakeholders throughout the development process—from requirements and design to implementation and release—to identify risks early and ensure product quality;
  • Review business and technical documentation to spot gaps, ambiguities, and potential risks, making sure requirements are clear, complete, and testable;
  • Manually test complex features and user flows;
  • Define and refine acceptance criteria and edge cases together with the team;
  • Write clear, actionable bug reports and maintain test documentation.

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years of software testing experience, with a strong focus on web applications and UI/UX validation, plus hands-on experience testing payment flows;
  • A solid understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle;
  • Hands-on experience with shift-left testing, including early involvement in reviewing requirements, validating designs, and identifying potential risks;
  • Experience creating test documentation, including user scenario-based checklists and clear, well-structured bug reports;
  • A working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools;
  • An analytical mindset and strong attention to detail;
  • The ability to work effectively in a startup environment with evolving documentation both independently and collaboratively while taking ownership and showing initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, since you’ll work closely with both business stakeholders and developers;
  • Good written and spoken English.

What happens next

  • A 45-minute call with our talent acquisition partner, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about the role;
  • An interview with our QA team;
  • A test assignment;
  • A final call with Diana Kasay, Readymag’s chief executive officer.

A few days after the final stage, we’ll reach out to you with a decision.

How to apply

Please use our application form to submit your CV and other necessary details. The form includes mandatory fields, and providing the requested information will be enough for us to review your application. In the "address" field, just indicating your country will be sufficient. If your experience matches our requirements, we'll reach out to schedule the next steps.
Thank you!
