In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop and maintain automated test suites specifically for Unity-based mobile environments.
- Write robust, scalable automation scripts using C# (for Unity integration).
- Leverage Cursor AI to accelerate script generation, and refactor legacy test code.
- Manages mobile device farm, executing and monitoring tests across various iOS and Android profiles to ensure frame-rate stability, memory optimization and software integrity.
- Drives CI/CD integration, working with our Engineering teams to plug automated tests into our build pipeline, providing immediate feedback to the Dev and QA teams.
- Ensure our automated builds and solutions are maintained as the product evolves (new screens, features, changing legacy systems, etc).
- Contributes to the continuous refinement of QA documentation and best practices as testing requirements shift.
- Performs other duties and supports special projects as required to meet the evolving needs of the development cycle.
- At times, this person may be required to own new feature testing including but not limited to test planning, ticket execution, partnering with developers and outsourced team members.
- Take ownership of features and proactively identify blocking issues. Recommend, implement, and drive solutions to overcome blocking issues.
To be successful in this role, your background includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in game development (QA and/or Software Engineering), specifically within the mobile gaming industry.
- Automation and/or tool development (of any scale) experience is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Unity and its testing frameworks (Unity Test Framework/AltTester).
- Strong proficiency in C#.
- Demonstrated experience using Cursor AI (or similar LLM-integrated IDEs) to optimize workflow.
- Experience with mobile tech such as Saucelabs, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest; familiarity with mobile performance profiling.
- Communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner with staff at all levels.
- Collaborates effectively with others in all disciplines of Game Development.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with a strong proactive attitude to identify Automation opportunities and see them through to completion.
