Job Description

We are urgently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support an ongoing project for our client, during a critical phase. You will be joining a high-performing team that is currently at capacity, and stepping in to address a significant QA backlog due to the temporary absence of our sole QA resource.

This role requires someone hands-on, experienced, and autonomous, who can ramp up quickly and begin contributing with minimal onboarding.
 

Responsibilities

• Own the QA effort for the project, working independently while coordinating with the dev team and PM.

• Quickly understand the test scope, QA backlog, and automation framework in place.

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.

• Maintain and update test cases and suites in QTest.

• Support performance testing activities and scripting with Neoload.

• Identify, log, and track bugs and inconsistencies across environments.

• Ensure high-quality deliverables and manage testing in tight timelines.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong foundation in software testing best practices.

• 4+ years of experience specifically in test automation using Playwright (or similar frameworks like Cypress or Selenium with fast adaptability to Playwright).

• Hands-on experience using QTest for test case management and execution.

• Working knowledge of Neoload for performance/load testing.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in dynamic environments.

• Excellent communication skills in English – must be able to integrate quickly into an English-speaking team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
   

  Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical QA environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing.

• Previous experience in taking over QA efforts mid-project or during critical phases.
