We are seeking a mid to senior-level person to work in its Software Quality Assurance area. Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, tech-savvy, and a quick learner. The position is for automation and manual testing of our complex system via GUI and REST calls. Familiarity in the following areas is a plus: Jira, GitHub, JavaScript, OpenAPI (Swagger), Postman, and AWS.
- 5 days a week with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- The preferred timezone is Central Time
- Daily availability at 8:00 am (CST) for meetings
- Proven experience in automated software testing of complex SaaS solutions...not just basic website or application testing
- Proficiency in specific automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium). We use Selenium.
- Proficiency of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) used in automation. We use Python.
- Experience in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests is a bonus.
- Proven experience in manual software testing
- Experience in writing their own test plans and acceptance criteria based on requirements
- Ability to identify and clear document software defects
- Willingness to search/hunt for defects that go beyond the obvious or what is written in the requirements
- Estimate QA effort needed to complete a task
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
- Able work remotely using collaboration tools to communicate with coworkers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers and stakeholders
- Must be able to present new features and fixes to company during bi-weekly Sprint Review Meetings via Zoom
