Your job opportunity:

At EVPassport we are looking for a detailed-oriented QA Engineer. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electric vehicle (EV) charging platform, being responsible for planning, executing, and automating testing for our software and mobile applications to deliver an experience that exceeds our customers' expectations.

Location:

Poblenou, Barcelona. Hybrid work mode.

You will:

• Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements, features, and user stories. Develop test plans and strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage for new functionalities and enhancements.
• Conduct various types of testing, including manual, functional, regression, performance, and usability testing, to identify and report defects and issues in the software and hardware components.
• Design and implement automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Continuously improve test automation frameworks to enhance the effectiveness of automated tests.
• Utilize bug-tracking systems to document and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle. Work closely with the development team to resolve issues and verify bug fixes.
• Ensure the compatibility of EVPassport applications and software with different devices, browsers, and operating systems.
• Perform load and stress testing to assess system performance, scalability, and stability, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the overall software development and testing process.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test reports.

You have:

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium).
• Experience creating automation tests for APIs.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• Understanding of agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for electric vehicles and sustainable transportation is a plus.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Datadog synthetic monitoring & testing.
• Experience developing automation tests using Java.
