QA Automation Engineer

WebstaurantStore is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with mid to senior-level experience to become a valuable addition to help establish an automation framework for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) development team.

Our ERP software engineering team plays a pivotal role in constructing and improving the systems that manage various aspects of our organization, including procurement, inventory control, logistics, sales order processing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and company financials processes.

Technology-wise, the ERP software engineering team uses a Microsoft .NET development stack with C# as our programming language of choice. The development scope encompasses desktop applications, web services, queued services, front-end web interfaces, and mobile apps. 100% Remote Position

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will:

• Participate in the Framework Design and Framework Development of the test automation framework and infrastructure.
• Create and establish automation frameworks and tests for our desktop and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with the QA organization on continuous improvement of the automation framework via bug fixes and new feature requests.
• Work with QA Leadership in Automation Strategizing and Planning.
• Working closely with Development, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure project success.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code changes.
• Keep abreast of current testing methodologies, and work autonomously to update tools, skills, and techniques.
• Building and scaling CI/CD automation pipelines
• Estimating the Level of Effort needed to test and complete a task.
• Creating and updating existing QA documentation.

Candidates must have:

• 5+ years of combined experience in Web Automation and Automation Testing Frameworks.
• Strong experience with Automation Testing Frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Postman, and Test Studio.
• Strong technical competency in at least one programming language such as C# and Java.
• Senior SQL Level: able to create SQL queries and have advanced Database Experience.
• Experience testing and automating Windows desktop applications.
• Experience testing and automating Android mobile applications.
• Experience testing and automating queued services.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, knowledge of the software development life cycle, and Agile methodology.
• Strong knowledge of source control tools, like GIT.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. ADO, TFS, Jenkins)
• Strong analytical skills.
• Understanding of QA practices (white and black box testing, risk-based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices)
• Experience with one or more Test Case Management Tools (TFS, VSTS, qTest, Quality Center/ALM, TestRail, etc.)
• Flexibility to Multitask and Shift Focus as needed.
• Willingness to jump in and do what it takes to solve problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with all levels of the organization.
