QA Automation Developer (Embedded Systems) - Readers

Who is your future team? 

We’re a diverse team with a wide range of skills, experiences, and backgrounds, united by a shared enthusiasm for software development. We develop and maintain the firmware of the Readers solution in the 2N and Axis portfolio. This team is newly formed, and we are now looking for a new team member who will be working on our reader solution. 

What will you do here as a QA Automation Developer for Embedded Systems?

Your main tasks will be to ensure our reader quality, both by implementing new tests and maintaining existing ones. While the role is primarily focused on automation, exploratory testing remains an important part of understanding complex system behavior and uncovering unexpected issues. You will work in a team of five developers, with colleagues also focusing on this area. Basic understanding of security-related testing and secure behavior validation. 

Another important aspect is that everyone in the team works on their continuous learning and innovation. This is important to us, and we set aside time for it. Maybe you will be the one coming up with a cool new feature for our intercoms, a new area to explore, or a more efficient way of working.

We believe you are a cooperative team player, can drive quality direction, and have strong communication skills. You might know a few scripting languages and work comfortably with Python. We also believe you have a technical mindset, a lot of curiosity about how systems work, and a love of problem-solving with your team. At 2N, we place a high degree of confidence in our engineers, and as one of them, you'll have a significant impact on our product's quality.  

We'd love to hear that you have: 

• Practical knowledge of Python 
• Practical experience with QA Automation 
• Experience with designing and developing performance, interface, and stability tests 
• Developing and running automated tests on embedded HW 
• Experience with Wireshark, logical analyzers 

It would not hurt if you also had: 

• Knowledge of C++ 
• Understanding of DevOps tools 
• Understanding of Git and basic software development workflows 
• Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting 
• Knowledge of Agile SW development
