Python Lead - India

Requirements:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Python Lead with strong expertise in Python development and API integration to join our dynamic [Department Name] team. As a Python Lead, you will be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of our [mention specific projects or areas] by leveraging your deep understanding of Python and your ability to seamlessly integrate with various APIs. Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Lead and guide a team of Python developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.
• Python Development Expertise: Utilize your strong proficiency in Python and its ecosystem (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI, Pandas, NumPy) to build robust and scalable applications.
• API Integration Mastery: Architect, design, develop, and maintain integrations with various internal and external APIs (RESTful, SOAP, GraphQL, etc.).
• API Design & Development: Contribute to the design and development of new APIs, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and well-documented.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices for software development, including testing, documentation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot effectively, and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.   
• Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering their technical growth and ensuring the team's overall success.
• Technical Strategy: Contribute to the technical vision and strategy for our Python-based applications and API integrations.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Python applications and API integrations.
• Staying Current: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in Python development, API design, and related areas.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in Python development.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of developers.
  • Significant experience designing, developing, and integrating with various types of APIs.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Python: Deep understanding of Python syntax, data structures, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Python Frameworks: Experience with one or more popular Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • API Development & Integration: Strong understanding of API concepts, protocols (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), and data formats (JSON, XML). Experience with API development tools and testing.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Version Control: Proficient with Git and related workflows.   
  • Testing: Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Cloud Technologies (Preferred): Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Containerization (Preferred): Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
