Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic projects that automate and manage Tower’s global production environment.
- Build products and automation solutions across web (frontend/backend), stream processing, microservices, and databases.
- Participate in the developer on-call rotation to support SEFO-provided solutions.
- Collaborate with other technical teams as needed.
- Document specifications, contribute to architectural decisions, and evolve solutions for trading infrastructure and operational challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong programming and computer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency building web services in at least one of Golang (preferred), Python (preferred), Rust (Must have), Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with relational and/or non relational databases.
- Understanding of web technologies and full-stack development.
- Ability to deploy/manage applications independently, including DevOps responsibilities.
- Familiarity with automation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with bare metal setups
- Degree from a top Canadian institution (e.g., McGill).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Experience with Kafka, data pipelines, and microservices.
- Experience building engineering solutions for running 24/7 operations with massive production footprint
- Stable career history with demonstrated commitment to past roles.
- Evidence of stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated product focused mindset.
- Ability to grow into component ownership responsibilities.
- Willingness to relocate and work in-office at least 3 days per week.
Self-starter who can work autonomously within a larger team.
