The OpportunityAs the Patient Experience Business Partner (PXBP), you will serve as the primary strategic liaison within Patient Experience (PX) for assigned Therapeutic Areas (TAs) to shape, triage, and elevate patient-related strategies and capabilities across Genentech. What you can expect in this role at Genentech:
Serve as the primary point of contact within PX for assigned TAs, managing the intake, documentation, and prioritization of patient experience needs across the product lifecycle.
Engage deeply with assigned Squads to translate TA business strategies into actionable experience requirements and PX Strategy Briefs.
Partner closely with Access Business Partners to integrate patient access barriers, support opportunities, and launch readiness into the Integrated Access Plan (IAP) and relevant integrated patient plan.
Lead PX activities for new product launches, line extensions, and pipeline assets, ensuring existing programs expand to meet future patient support requirements.
Influence senior CMG leaders with competing priorities by effectively communicating the strategic value, insights, and outcomes of PX priorities.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Experience Design, DDA, and RDT to advocate for the patient journey and drive scalable, enterprise-wide PX solutions.
Connect regularly with peer PXBPs to share best practices, eliminate overlap, and facilitate trade-off decisions within the enterprise PX roadmap.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 12+ years of professional industry experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related sector.
Demonstrate deep understanding and knowledge in at least one Therapeutic Area and the ecosystem of entities impacting the patient access journey.
Possess a proven track record of strategic planning, trade-off decision-making, and managing high-impact cross-functional projects.
Show a deep proven track record of interfacing with, presenting to, and earning buy-in from senior leadership to drive strategic alignment across matrixed organizations.
Bring strong leadership presence, storytelling, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant healthcare, business, or scientific field.
Direct experience in Patient Experience, Patient Access, Patient Advocacy, or Commercial Operations strategy.
Demonstrated success navigating matrixed cross-functional squads and utilizing data/technology tools to improve patient outcomes.
This role is based in South San Francisco and offers a hybrid schedule working 3 days per week on campus

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of CA is $166,400 - 309,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
