This role requires adherence to brand guidelines, process efficiency, and data accuracy.

The Content Manager works collaboratively within the Hub team, acting as a core executor of content operations, and provides essential support to the Hub Operations and Data Leads.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Publishing Management:

• Publish approved content onto designated social media platforms, strictly following established guidelines and client approvals.
• Manage the allocation of publishing requests, reviewing and processing them via the internal system and Planner.
• Proactively request missing publishing details and obtain necessary approvals from requestors.
• Ensure all content is published within the Hub's operational hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm CET), within an SLA of 48hours upon receipt of intake form.

2. Content Tagging (Organic & Paid):

• Execute tagging of ads and organic posts in Sprinklr according to agreed clusters, utilising provided toolkits and specific guidelines.
• Source missing tagging data efficiently from various internal sources, Harmony Hub, Intel team, and local in-market SMMs.
• Ensure all paid ads are tagged within one working day of going live; for ads going live on weekends, ensure tagging is completed on the next working day.
• Perform retro-tagging of missed inbound messages and newly auto-imported content to maintain high tagging accuracy.

3. Process Adherence & Quality Assurance:

• Uphold high standards of content governance and ensure all published and tagged content complies with our clients brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Proactively identify and address any issues or discrepancies related to tagging details or publishing requirements, escalating through appropriate channels if necessary.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tagging and publishing processes, ensuring overall process health.

4. Reporting & Hub Support:

• Support the Hub Operations Manager and Data Manager with reporting tasks, including contributing to monthly performance reports and addressing specific tagging accuracy requests.
• Provide critical support to Hub operations and data management tasks as needed, including general publishing requests and ad-hoc assignments, particularly during periods of holiday cover or high demand.
• Assist with team onboardings, contribute to optimisation suggestions, and support overall team effectiveness.

Role Requirements:

• Proven administrative experience, demonstrating efficiency in managing tasks and adhering to processes.
• Comfortable working with digital platforms and learning new software quickly. Training will be provided for specific tools.
• An understanding of content governance principles and the importance of brand guidelines is desirable, but a keen ability to follow instructions diligently is key.
• Ability to follow structured workflows and manage tasks under clear deadlines.

Skills and Competencies:

Exceptional Attention to Detail: Meticulous in execution to ensure 100% accuracy in tagging and publishing. This is critical for the role.
Self-Starter and Proactive: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and identify tasks that need to be done without constant supervision.
Strong Organisational Skills: Capable of managing multiple content streams and tagging requirements efficiently, prioritising tasks effectively.
Effective Communication: Clear, concise, and professional communication skills for interacting with internal teams, requestors, and leads.
Problem-Solving Acumen: Resourceful in identifying and addressing content or tagging-related challenges, escalating when appropriate.
Team Collaboration: A strong team player who is willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive and productive Hub environment.

What We Do

In 1948, David Ogilvy founded the agency that would become Ogilvy & Mather. Starting with no clients and a staff of two, he built his company into one of the eight largest advertising networks in the world with more than 500 offices and 20,000 staff across 169 cities. Ogilvy South Africa’s origins lie with a small hot shop in Cape Town, founded by Bob Rightford, Brian Searle-Tripp and Roger Makin in 1976. After merging with Ogilvy in 1984, Ogilvy & Mather RS-TM dominated the local creative scene during the first decade and over the next twenty years was recognized as a brand-focused agency that acted with integrity. During the 1990’s, Ogilvy South Africa soared creatively under the leadership of Robyn Putter (1950-2010), who eventually went on to become the global creative head of WPP. Today, Ogilvy South Africa is the leader in the industry, focused on building and transforming brands. Employing more than 900 staff across three offices, Ogilvy remains true to David’s vision; we still see ourselves as a company that does more than ads and have proven that by maintaining our humility and an almost divine discontent at our past successes, we can do more than stay relevant. For more than 50 years, Ogilvy South Africa has created iconic advertising for clients such as KFC, VW, SAB, BP, DStv and Mondelez amongst others, and we continue to live by our founders credo of existing to “Make brands matter”.
