We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Publicist/PR Coordinator to help amplify our brand’s voice and expand our reach.
The ideal candidate would drive media relations, craft compelling narratives, and ensure Collider’s content and initiatives gain maximum exposure. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in entertainment media, has strong press relationships, and knows how to generate buzz.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute PR campaigns to increase Collider’s visibility across entertainment, film, TV, and music media.
- Enhance Brand Visibility – Drive awareness of Collider’s key updates, major editorial pieces, and expanding events section through strategic PR initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate with Social Media – Work closely with the social media team to strengthen Collider’s public image and amplify key stories across platforms.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media pitches, and editorial announcements.
- Seek Partnerships & Sponsorships – Continuously identify and pursue brand deals, sponsorships, and collaborations that align with Collider’s culture and industry presence.
- Secure interviews, features, and media placements for Collider’s editors, reporters, and content.
- Monitor press coverage, track PR performance metrics, and provide reports on campaign success.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and social media teams to align PR efforts with content strategy.
- Handle crisis communications and media inquiries as needed.
- 1-3+ years of PR experience in entertainment, media, or a related industry.
- Strong relationships with entertainment and pop culture media contacts.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with experience in press release creation.
- Ability to pitch stories effectively and secure media coverage.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Passion for film, TV, music, and pop culture.
