About The Job
THE ROLE
At Burson, collaboration and excellence are at the core of everything we do. As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading strategic campaigns, managing client communications, and driving content creation to ensure high-quality results. You’ll cultivate media and influencer relationships, secure coverage, and craft compelling stories. In addition to overseeing events and reporting, you’ll mentor junior team members and identify new business opportunities. You’ll also support financial management and contribute to agency marketing, training, and innovation. With a solutions-focused mindset, strong organisational skills, and adaptability, you’ll make a lasting impact on client success and team culture.
Account Management
- Develop and oversee strategic campaign plans, PR strategies, and content calendars
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality results aligned with KPIs
- Lead client and new business briefs, defining next steps
- Oversee press materials and content creation, ensuring accuracy and impact
- Manage event execution and serve as the primary client liaison
- Track and analyse campaign performance for continuous improvement
- Escalate issues with solutions for senior team approval
- Manage scope of work (SOW) development and track budgets
Media & Influencer Relations
- Cultivate strong media and influencer networks, staying ahead of industry changes
- Secure media and influencer meetings to strengthen relationships and outreach
Client Service
- Manage multiple client accounts and build strong, long-term relationships
- Demonstrate deep understanding of client brands, objectives, and markets
- Offer strategic counsel on industry trends, social strategies, and content marketing
- Take ownership of client communications, including WIP calls and briefings
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring high-quality work delivery
- Encourage creative brainstorms and foster innovation
- Guide teams on media pitching, client handling, and account management
- Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance reviews
Financial & Business Growth
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to pitches and proposals
- Track budgets, timesheets, and financial reporting to maintain profitability
- Oversee case study development to showcase campaign successes
Wider Agency Involvement
- Build relationships within Burson and WPP for collaboration and insights
- Contribute to agency marketing, training, and innovation initiatives
