This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that's sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

This position plays a leading role in the development and implementation of public relations activities designed to make the sport of motorcycling more desirable, acceptable, and accessible among the non-riding general public, as well as our core riding community. This role is responsible for communicating how products and services are relevant and desirable to targeted markets through media outlets/channels key to the success of the company. This individual participates in the development of communication objectives with senior management and cross-functional campaign teams to create PR plans to support the objectives. The individual also tracks media placements and reach, facilitates providing products to select media for evaluation, manages portions of the PR budget, recommends, and executes select PR plans, and takes responsibility for delivery of key metrics which help support marketing and sales goals that meet the needs of the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Budget Management and Fiscal responsibility for select PR program budgets, COV ordering and disposition management, and other PR initiatives as assigned.
  • Establish a baseline understanding of where the company stands relative to awareness, interest and desire among lifestyle, mainstream and endemic media and develop PR plans to continually improve that position. Experience with media tracking tools like CISION preferred.
  • Leads company PR efforts targeting select markets, and promoting specific events, campaigns, and race programs. Develops and executes PR plans to achieve desired media placements, target impressions, and sentiment goals though mainstream, lifestyle, and endemic media with messages and information designed to influence and enhance affinity towards the brand and help meet sales objectives.
  • Collaborates with social media and influencer teams to develop and execute plans to reach select YouTube media channels with motorcycle and related product information and experiences. Continue to develop relationships in this space as channels emerge and grow.
  • Develop press materials for media distribution.
  • Continue to grow and foster relationships with members of the media while continuing to find new media outlets to give a top-tier brand experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent degree

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Typically requires 8 years related experience
    • PR, journalism, or communications experience.
  • Possesses impeccable facilitation, written, and oral communication skills along with effective team skills and a focus on motorcycle product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and gain results through influence of peers and senior leaders, and ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of media relations, and dedication to creating outstanding press materials and events.
  • Knowledge of motorcycle culture preferred.
  • Valid motorcycle license and extensive riding experience is a must.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
