About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, growth-minded PR Executive to help turn SmartBuyGlasses into a brand people recognise, recommend, and search for by name. This is not a corporate PR role. You’ll be in the trenches: pitching journalists, opening doors with influencers and partners, shipping ambassador deals, landing coverage, and making the brand felt across podcasts, social, and editorial.
You’ll get the editorial and PR fundamentals right first — press releases, journalist relationships, content hygiene — then help scale into the bigger plays: collabs, house-brand collections, ambassador programmes, and sports and community partnerships. You’ll work closely alongside our PR and Copy Specialist and Content Specialist, partner with merchandising, influencer and creative, and have direct access to the founding team.
What You’ll Do
- Pitch journalists and land media coverage in fashion, lifestyle, and business publications
- Get the fundamentals right: press releases, journalist relationships, brand storytelling, content hygiene
- Support our Brand Ambassador programme: outreach, briefing, and managing ambassador relationships
- Help drive partnerships: sports RX, community sports teams, NGO tie-ups, cultural institutions. Make SmartBuyGlasses a name people encounter outside the ad break
- Support house-brand collections with influencers, designers, and cultural figures alongside the merchandising team
- Build a diversified earned media footprint: tier-1 publications, niche authority sites, cultural outlets
- Make us heard everywhere: podcasts, Reddit, LinkedIn, newspapers, TV, editorial
- Work hand in hand with our Social and Influencer lead to convert influencer reach into brand awareness
- Help run the editorial calendar: briefs, review loops, speed to publish
- Track coverage and report what’s working, clearly and without fluff
- Run disciplined experiments on formats and hooks. Kill what doesn’t work fast
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years hands-on experience in PR, Brand, or Partnerships at a consumer, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce brand, with direct ownership of commercial outcomes

- Growth mindset. You open doors, pick up the phone, follow up, ship at 85%. You don’t wait for permission or perfect briefs
- Experience placing media coverage in fashion, lifestyle, or business publications
- Some experience with collabs, brand partnerships, or influencer and ambassador work
- Commercial awareness — you think in branded demand and real outcomes, not impressions or EMV
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Comfortable working alongside merchandising, influencer, creative, and SEO teams
- Self-starter with a bias for action. Organised, reliable, ships on time
- High attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- A passion for learning and improving continuously
