Job Description

The PR Account Executive is responsible for carrying out media outreach, social media engagement, and marketing communication tactics as outlined within a strategy.

They contribute to the planning and research required to create a strategy that is largely driven by senior leadership.

The responsibilities for this position include:

  • Play a key role in account activities including special events, media events, media relations, social media, and briefings
  • Initiate implementation of media events, press conferences/briefings, media tours
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for media/influencers
  • Develop media strategy documents and demonstrate knowledge of top-tier media important to clients’ business
  • Research, compile, and analyze the media landscape as it pertains to gaming, biz/tech, and entertainment influencers and outlets
  • Develop editorial/journalistic/media contacts
  • Devise press materials including press releases, media alerts, pitches, bios
  • Create social media and digital content, editorial calendar management
  • Monitor media, flag updates, formulate action plans to align with opportunities

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in PR, marketing, communications, or journalism
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Has confidence and knowledge to provide advice/counsel to senior clients in and around the specialist area
  • Is a creative, flexible problem solver
  • Has a desire to work as one team and share knowledge
  • Can identify and correct weaknesses
  • Will create an atmosphere of mutual respect, support, and trust
