As a Cloud and Artificial Intelligence Rate Optimization Finance Manager in Global Technology Finance and Business Management Cloud Financial Operations, you will provide financial, analytical, and program leadership for our global rate optimization portfolio across public cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure. You will help us size commitments, track utilization, measure benefits, and communicate results to senior stakeholders with clarity and credibility. You will work closely with partners across finance, controllership, strategic sourcing, and technology to recommend decisions that improve efficiency while supporting risk-aware execution. You will join a collaborative team culture focused on transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the global and local rate optimization program and portfolio management for public cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure
  • Own the rate optimization portfolio for compute and database savings plans and resource reservations
  • Lead global and line-of-business rate optimization and cross-account sharing for graphics processing unit capacity supporting artificial intelligence workloads
  • Develop unit-cost studies, benchmark research, and best-practice insights across hybrid infrastructure (public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises data centers)
  • Manage end-to-end implementation of rate optimization and financial logic changes across processes, systems, and stakeholders
  • Track commitment coverage, utilization, and optimization opportunities, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
  • Analyze month-end results, explain drivers, and produce clear reporting and executive-ready insights
  • Forecast portfolio performance across short and long range horizons, including scenario analysis and stress testing
  • Build business cases and financial models to evaluate pricing and commitment decisions
  • Prepare executive presentations and storytelling materials on cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure spend and benefits realization
  • Support the broader cloud financial operations community through communications and enablement activities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, data analytics and modeling, strategic planning, or risk modeling
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel and at least one of the following: Python or Databricks query tools
  • Advanced presentation development skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Think-Cell (or similar tools)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritize milestones, and deliver under deadline pressure in cross-functional environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across levels and functions using clear analysis and structured recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical and financial details into decision-ready messages

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience using artificial intelligence-assisted coding tools for analytics workflows or visualization development
  • Experience supporting public cloud financial management, including pricing constructs and commitment-based optimization approaches
