A day in the life of one of our therapists can look like:
Traveling to our clients’ location in their home or dayhab.
Documenting therapy visits and contacting families and case managers to share updates
Adjusting the therapy to make sure that there is always progress towards the client’s goals
Looking to hire passionate and committed Physical Therapy Assistants who are dedicated to serving adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the major cities of Texas. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve our inspiring clients ages 21 and up.
Soundly Speaking provides both in-person and teletherapy services to our clients. Based on an hourly wage, we expect our PT-Assistants to:
Provide high quality therapy in the client’s home and communicate with families about the therapy sessions
Communicate weekly with families about goals and progress and monthly communication with case managers
Adaptability and teamwork skills
Turn in paperwork in a 24 hour timeline
Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations

DO NOT apply if you do not have a valid Texas-issued Physical Therapy Assistant License. A valid license is obtained after completion of an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and taking the accredited NPTE exam to obtain a valid Texas Physical Therapist Assistant License.

Skills Required
- Valid Texas-issued Physical Therapy Assistant license
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy
- Successful completion of the accredited NPTE exam for Texas PTA licensure
- Ability to work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Comfort working with clients in their homes or outside a clinic
- Ability to learn on the job and use or augment provided materials
- Adaptability and teamwork skills
- Ability to complete paperwork within 24 hours
What We Do
Soundly Speaking Therapy Services, PLLC provides in-office and on-location therapy for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Its services include speech, language, cognitive, alternative communication, occupational, and physical therapy, along with dietary services, communication-based behavioral management, and home or bathroom modification evaluations. The company serves clients across Texas, Oklahoma, and Idaho and works with agencies supporting the IDD community.
