Location: Halo Chapel, Building 1100, Yuma Proving Ground, AZ
Position Type: Part-Time Contract Position
Schedule: Flexible; includes Sundays, weekdays, evenings, and occasional seasonal events
The Protestant Administrative Religious Education Coordinator supports the Yuma Proving Ground Religious Support Office by assisting with the planning, coordination, administration, and execution of Protestant Religious Education programs and chapel activities. The coordinator works closely with the Chaplain and Religious Support Office staff to ensure successful delivery of religious education programs for Soldiers, Family Members, and authorized patrons.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support Protestant Religious Education programs and activities.
- Prepare monthly Religious Education calendars and event schedules.
- Create, maintain, and distribute program flyers, attendance records, and administrative documents.
- Coordinate facility reservations and classroom scheduling.
- Prepare classrooms, materials, and supplies for Religious Education classes and special events.
- Assist with Sunday Religious Education programs and weekly Religious Education activities.
- Support seasonal chapel events, Vacation Bible School, holiday programs, and youth ministry activities.
- Track attendance and prepare monthly program reports.
- Maintain organized records and files related to chapel programs.
- Attend required planning meetings and coordinate with Chapel staff.
- Reset and secure facilities following program activities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one (1) year of administrative, educational, ministry, or program coordination experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a chapel environment.
- Experience supporting chapel, ministry, youth, or religious education programs.
- Experience coordinating volunteers and community events.
- Familiarity with Army Chaplain Corps programs and religious support activities.
- Ability to lift and carry educational materials and supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to set up and arrange classrooms and event spaces.
- Ability to move throughout chapel facilities during program activities.
Skills Required
