We are seeking a skilled and experienced Government Contract RFP Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing and managing government contract proposals, particularly in industries related to NAICS codes 561320 (Temporary Help Services), 561311 (Executive Placement Agencies), 541511 (Custom Computer Programming Services), and 541512 (Computer Systems Design Services).

Responsibilities

  • Proposal Development:
  • Research, write, and edit persuasive and compelling proposals for government contracts, ensuring alignment with client needs and objectives.
  • Manage the entire proposal process from initial concept to submission, including proposal strategy development, content creation, and compliance verification.
  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical and operational information for proposals.
  • Develop detailed and accurate content that addresses the specific requirements and evaluation criteria of RFPs.
  • Maintain version control and document management throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure proposals comply with all RFP requirements, regulations, and internal quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance reviews to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Proposal Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Coordinate proposal reviews and revisions, integrating feedback from stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather input and insights from team members and leadership.
  • Knowledge Management and Process Improvement:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, government regulations, and best practices related to proposal development.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of proposal templates, processes, and content libraries to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in government contract proposal writing, with a strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and proposal best practices.
  • Familiarity with NAICS codes 561320, 561311, 541511, and 541512 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and persuasive content.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with proposal management software (e.g., Shipley, Privia) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in all work activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
