Proposal Research Analyst
We are seeking an experienced, business and tech savvy, Research Analyst to support the Thoughtworks Global Demand Support team. The candidate will be responsible for mostly Secondary Research and sometimes primary research to bring in competitive insights during RFX solutioning and presales stage. The candidate should have a solid understanding of research for the IT product and services landscape and should be able to provide data insights based on differentiated point of view.
The candidate will work very closely with various internal teams including global and
regional business development, demand/sales, delivery, service lines and support teams.
Job responsibilities
- Undertake custom research projects as defined by various stakeholders - Sales/Marketing/Senior Mgmt/Technology heads and others as required
- Bring in value added and differentiated insights and help better position our offerings and services to clients in proposals
- Research, analyze and monitor trends – technology/industry/competitors
- Develop and recommend strategy to meet organization objectives in the RFX as narratives and value propositions
- Track competitive landscape by analyzing competitor products/services/strategies
- Ability to write research reports by analyzing data from various sources
- Interact with industry analysts and internal stakeholders to collaborate and work on sales/marketing campaigns
- Have good understanding of various market insights databases and known sources of information for research and analysis
- Ability to interpret and analyze various research reports, scientific and technical
- Utilize internal subject matter expertise to develop sales and marketing collateral including white papers, presentations and webinars
Job qualifications
- Candidates with 5-10 years with a research house or a strategy/research function of a global IT firm
- Prior experience in the IT/Tech sector is desirable
- Experience with sales/presales in IT services is desirable
- Ability to interpret and analyze various research reports, scientific and technical journals and financial reports
Professional Skills
- Experience in market segmentation, market sizing and financial/commercial analysis
- Exceptional written and oral communication
- Prior experience with primary research desirable
