About the Role:

The Promotions Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the marketing and promotional efforts within the Information and Media Services industry. This position is responsible for assisting in the development, coordination, and execution of promotional campaigns that enhance brand visibility and audience engagement. The ideal candidate will work closely with the marketing team to manage promotional materials, track campaign performance, and liaise with external partners and vendors. By ensuring smooth operational support and timely delivery of promotional activities, the Promotions Assistant contributes directly to the growth and success of the organization’s media presence. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

Because this position requires the operation of Company and station vehicles, candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and authorize SBS to obtain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) as part of the pre-employment screening process. Any offer of employment will be contingent upon the candidate having an acceptable driving record and receiving approval to operate Company vehicles under SBS’s applicable insurance requirements. The employee must maintain a valid driver’s license and continued insurability throughout employment in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and promotional strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Information and Media Services industry or a related marketing environment.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with event coordination and vendor management.
  • Ability to analyze marketing data and generate reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of promotional campaigns across various media platforms.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to produce and distribute promotional materials.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of promotional activities and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of promotional schedules, budgets, and inventory of marketing collateral.
  • Support event planning and on-site promotional activities as needed to maximize audience engagement.
