Our Connectivity and Data Integration team works diligently to build order and resulting capabilities and secure data exchanges for providers and care teams across the country. We support our clinical ordering process and other Tempus applications by bringing in structured clinical data from electronic medical records. As we continue to bring new customers onboard it’s critical to make sure we’re able to maintain communications and guidance for these integrations. We’re seeking a highly-motivated project manager who is passionate about healthcare data.
What you’ll do: Manage and support our EMR secure data exchanges and Order/Result Interface projects with healthcare organizations. Work with our real world data engineering team to facilitate project execution. Manage projects for both internal and external stakeholders using tools such as Slack, Teams, GSuite, MS Office 365, Lucidchart, Jira, Service Now, Salesforce, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Working with technical staff both external and internal while having an understanding of clinical document workflows, clinical ordering workflows, and lab workflows.
- Working with pathology and engineering teams to implement new assay launches for EMR customers.
- Manage integration projects for our clinical data feeds and order/result interface projects.
- Ability to create project collateral, gantt charts, project plans, scoping documents, project charters, kick off material etc.
- Collaborate with internal/external teams to resolve support issues via Slack, email, and video conferencing.
- Manage customer relationships to triage enhancement requests, listen to concerns, and answer questions.
- Experience managing data acquisition projects
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience as a project manager running projects in healthcare systems or the healthcare technology vendor space
- Functional Knowledge of HL7 and/or interfaces, data feeds, clinical workflows
- Ticketing system experience e.g. ZenDesk, Service Now, or Jira
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Ability and willingness to learn from your colleagues about scientific concepts outside of your area of expertise
- Passionate about managing customer relationships while seeing projects through to completion.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Salesforce reporting
- Familiarity with formats: JSON, XML
- Understanding with document repositories: OnBase, Epic Blob
- Understanding with integration engines: Iguana, Ellkay, CorePoint, Cloverleaf, etc
- Familiarity with EMRs: Epic, AllScripts, Cerner, McKesson iKnowMed, Meditech, etc.
- Understanding of database platforms (On-Prem & Cloud-based): SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Redshift, Google PostgreSQL, Oracle
- Experience with healthcare terminology concept codes (SNOMED, ICD-10, LOINC, etc.)
- Knowledge of oncology or genomic data
