In this role you'll:

  • Determine and execute on the technical roadmap for perception sensor fusion and core models teams
  • Manage the performance metrics for different perception models, the model consolidation and the release process for them to be onboarded
  • Partner closely with the engineering managers on tools and processes to prioritize, track, streamline the team’s work and to scale a rapidly growing team in a fast-paced environment; take the initiative to identify and resolve ways in which the team can set itself up for success
  • Prioritize and manage issues, risks and dependencies and resolve misalignments with overall scope and schedule and proactively identify and eliminate risks to the perception technical roadmap
  • Synthesize and communicate status of the teams at multiple levels to highlight the team’s accomplishments, flag areas of risk and provide a call to action around important milestones
  • Represent the team and drive creation or improvements in cross-functional processes 

We'd like you to have:

  • 2+ years of perception, computer vision, machine learning or data science experience
  • Exceptional communication skills. Influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a highly complex, always-changing environment
  • Passion about self-driving technology and its potential impact on the world

It's preferred if you have:

  • Radar /sensor fusion knowledge/experience
  • Experience with Deep Learning Model consolidation and model performance analysis and optimization
  • Experience driving the continuous/ongoing performance evaluation of highly complex systems
  • Experience with programs where software and hardware interact
  • Experience executing projects involving computer vision or machine learning
  • Master’s degree
