Staff Technical Project Manager (Remote)
Job Description Summary
To lead the software development team and technical oversight of the .NET (VB/C#) UDC platform used across multiple groups in GE.
As a member of the Primavera CoE team, this role serves as a software engineer lead and technical expert for the UDC (Universal Data Center - GE Homegrown tool) solutions. The successful candidate has the opportunity to learn broadly while implementing best practices, improving existing CoE development processes, identify new solution design, drive improvement on the global framework, define standards and drive simplification opportunities.
The CoE has deep penetration and supporting multiples groups in GE which allow the platform to be used in different areas from Capacity Planning, Scope management, budget forecasting, Action Items management, documents storage and systems integrations to name some of them
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Drive the development of UDC modules and integrations using our .NET platform
- Executing or supporting the technical design of solutions to ensure proper leverage of existing/new framework and best practices
- Translate business requirements into technical solution
- Improve common framework and develop common strategy to increase productivity
- Ensure performance on both deliveries of module and application execution
- Meeting business critical application SLAs, recovery CTQs, and requirements in a cost-effective manner
- Provide level technical advice and guidance to internal and external teams in regards to UDC tools, integrations, implementations and enhancements
- Maintain industry knowledge related to technology trends
- Leverage understanding of business processes to offer simple solutions
- Deliver new UDC components, emerging technologies and enabling tools including Mobile. Seek innovative opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or relevant experience
- Minimum of 7 years of application development experience in .Net technologies (VB or C#)
- Experience with data modeling and design required by application modules
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large system environments.
- Experience in application reengineering and modernization
- Experience in integrating with one or more complex systems
- Experience developing web applications
