Sr. Product Program Manager, Media
We are searching for a rockstar Sr Product Program Manager to join the Product Program Management team within Global Product Strategy. As a part of the Global Product Strategy team, you will play an instrumental role in helping to build and maintain the Global Strategic Roadmap, ensuring visibility and alignment across the Disney Streaming Organization.
Your primary area of focus will be the Media Space and you will partner with the Media Product team to provide Program Management support during the ideation and discovery phases of the SDLC, as well as to facilitate alignment between the Media Product Roadmap, the Global Strategic Roadmap, Engineering Roadmaps and neighboring Product Team roadmaps.
The Media Product Team covers a wide range of domains in the media space, including Content Security, Media Processing & Delivery, the Media Supply Chain, Quality of Experience and associated Analytics, and the Video Player space.
This role will interact with a wide range of stakeholders across Business, Product, Engineering, Operations and Executive teams. The successful candidate is dedicated, collaborative and passionate about people, projects, and processes.
This position is available to candidates willing to work in one of the following locations: NYC, SF, LA, Seattle, Raleigh
Responsibilities :
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, define and prioritize features on both the Media Product and Global Strategic Roadmaps
- Facilitate discovery working groups to assess scope, LOE and potential ROI of proposed features
- Ensure the the Media Product roadmap is properly organized and maintained at all times, working with relevant Product Owners to assist them in understanding and adhering to roadmapping processes governing intake through release
- Work with the Product team to ensure timely, comprehensive, and otherwise smooth handoff of requirements to Engineering/Implementation Teams and their Project Program Management counterparts overseeing execution
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Media Product team and the Global Product Strategy team
- Collaborate with neighboring Program Management teams (and others) to continually iterate on process evaluation and improvement
- Work closely with a broad range of stakeholders to understand and mitigate project risks where they pop up
- Be recognized as an ally to all stakeholders in our continual effort to get the highest value work and into the hands of the consumers who will benefit, with the least amount of friction
Basic Qualifications :
- At least 5 years of experience performing a relevant function within a tech organization
- Ability to grasp and communicate technical concepts
- Fluency with concepts related to the SDLC - especially Agile
- Experience with JIRA and other common tools of the trade
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with a large and diverse set of stakeholders
- Track record of maintaining high standards with minimal supervision
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Embodiment of servant leadership
Required Education :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
