What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for the strategy, maintenance, and deployment of enterprise application platforms and services. This includes proactive monitoring, integrated workflows, design / architecture documents, processes, procedures, data feeds, service & support hand-off documentation, and identifying compatibility issues with existing applications. With their application management expertise and strong technical understanding, they will apply their knowledge and creatively to address unique / ambiguous situations in order to find solutions to multiple, interdependent, complex problems. They will define requirements to meet the needs of the business and deliver an outstanding user / member experience. This individual provides management, stakeholders, internal, and external business partners with the necessary leadership, guidance and advice to ensure the delivery of enterprise applications into production, and at the same time meeting agreed to service level agreements (SLAs) and acceptance criteria. Sr. Manager, Enterprise Technology Platforms and Services will strive to build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, stakeholders and other internal business partners.  Resources to do the job require a comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience of product management and integration as well as knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. General guidance and direction are received from the Vice President of Information Technology.

  • Responsible for managing multiple, complex enterprise level infrastructure and software implementations as it relates to defined business projects and requirements
  • Plans, prioritizes and delivers solutions that represent the best value technology spend while observing technology governance within prescribed limits
  • Acts as a platform or application owner
  • Manages the end to end development process to ensure that the right solutions are delivered and addresses any operational concerns once in production
  • Delivers on time and on budget and adheres to required standards
  • Develops an expert understanding of business challenges
  • Understands & resolves the most complex technology issues/challenges
  • Works with senior leaders to identify, develop and execute recommendations for short- and long-term strategic directions/opportunities in support of the achievement of the business plan objectives and overall results
  • Develops the business case by identifying needs, analyzing potential options and assessing expected return on investment
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops roadmap for strategic execution
  • Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals
  • Acts as the prime contact for internal/external stakeholder relationships, which may include regulators
  • Defines business requirements for analytics & reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues
  • Reviews, approves, and provides technical expert guidance on the Operational Vision (or business case) and application architecture
  • Creates proper planning process (e.g., development of a pandemic plan and development of a Business Continuity Plan) to ensure performance, availability, and problem recovery of platform applications in achieving the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Ensures ongoing viability of technology platform assets
  • Identifies opportunities and provides recommendations by communicating complex technical strategies and design to senior leaders
  • Provides informed and considered recommendations & solutions to complex technical issues to improve productivity and profitability of technology platform
  • Assesses value of potential work and understands all work included in the annual plan
  • Evaluates external vendor offerings and selects cost-effective service providers who will deliver

 

Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act.  Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.

 

Where permitted by applicable law, successful applicants to this position must either have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered (proof of vaccination is required), or be willing to submit a negative COVID-19 test result in advance of each visit to an Alliant facility.

Qualifications

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree, required, and you have:

 

  • Minimum five to seven years relevant experience
  • PMP certification desired
  • Detail oriented and delivery focused
  • Financial services experience a plus
  • Experienced in delivering technical projects in a cross-region, multi-time zone environment
  • Experience with SDLC with knowledge of RAD and SCRUM/Agile
  • Experience implementing new networking and server hardware platforms
  • Experience in turning business requirements into technical requirements
  • Effective organizational, analytical and problem solving skills required
  • Excellent relationship management and customer service skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to deliver to strict schedules, as well as work with and incorporate input from other areas
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of an organization
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

  • Understand functional aspects and technical behavior of the underlying operating system, development environment, and deployment practices

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Alliant employees can contribute up to $2,750 annually to their Health Care FSA and $5,000 to their dependent care FSA.
