We at Disney Streaming are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Commerce Team and lead teams through the development, rollout and adoption of several programs that extend the functionality of our services across Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Star+. In this role, you are encouraged to work with various partners including Product & Engineering Teams to coordinate cross-team initiatives that deliver on Disney Streaming business goals & objectives.
We are a fast-paced and fast-growing team where you will have influence over the services and tools built by the team. You will also have an opportunity to learn about the international landscape and challenges in billing, payments, subscriptions, offers, and promotions as our streaming services launch around the world.
Responsibilities :

  • Deliver projects from concept to completion by collaborating with engineering teams, product management and developing detailed project plans from development to deployment
  • Understand architectural and design specifications. Suggest alternate solutions that achieve business goals and/or drive alternate solution development via collaborative mechanisms such as story mapping and white-boarding
  • Facilitate technical meetings; follow the discussions in order to summarize and capture outcomes
  • Facilitate team agile ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, team retrospective and planning sessions)
  • Track team progress against results and work with the determine solutions to get back on-track when the team falls behind schedule
  • Engage with the development team to build delivery timelines of feature sets for projects, and be able to sequence the work based on priorities
  • Collaborate with other TPM's to understand cross-team dependencies and prioritize the work to avoid impediments
  • Attend project meetings and be ready to communicate team progress, risks with mitigation plans and communicate any issues
  • Ability to prioritize multiple team requests and balance that against other priorities and committed work. Must understand the impact of injecting these requests to the team's backlog


Basic Qualifications :

  • Experience as a Program Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master for a software development team
  • Proven track record with Agile project management in a hands-on role
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and growing transparency
  • Technical knowledge of architecture and development practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
