Summary:

The Program Manager is a project-management professional responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals. The successful candidate for this new role will lead with strong attention to organizational strategy, implementation, and delegation. They will report to the PMO and serve in a project management capacity as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management:
    • Work with program stakeholders to strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
    • Write program proposals / business cases
    • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement
    • Assess & mitigate program risks and dependencies
    • Oversee multiple project managers and project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
    • Conduct periodic program health evaluations and create detailed reports for executive staff
    • Manage program budget
    • Track program work using standard suite of tools
    • Mentoring project manager(s)
  • Vendor and Relationship Management:
    • Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, vendors, etc.
    • Coordinate internal and external program resources
  • People Management
    • Provide oversight, direction, coaching and mentorship to Project Managers within your applicable area of accountability in accordance
      with the PMO policies and procedures
    • Utilize a performance management and development approach that provides context to encourage Project Manager contributions,
      including goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning


An ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least three (3) years of program management experience and a strong background in project management
  • Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in one of the following areas: Content Management/Development,
    Human Resources, Operations, or Information Technology (IT)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years knowledge and experience in human resource supervision, and management
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
  • Be capable of managing a minimum of four (4) concurrent programs and/or projects
  • Have exceptional attention to detail and high level of discretion
  • Take a creative approach to problem solving
  • Transform groups of people into bonded teams seeking common outcomes
  • Be comfortable navigating conflicts
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Act with good intent at all times



Additionally, it would be great if you have:

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
  • Experience with the following tools: Smartsheet, GSuite, Jira, Confluence, Slack
