Responsible for defining and managing the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for projects. Organizes and drives resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. Responsibilities include overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Ensures project scope, planning, and implementation align with client expectations and business needs. Ensures alignment between multiple projects.

We have a unique opportunity on our Human Resources team and within our Talent Center of Excellence (COE) for someone to play a critical role in shaping the overall experience for 105,000+ Team Members across the globe.

We are seeking a Principal of Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to help define how WFM attracts and retains the best-possible talent by offering a unique, relevant and compelling Team Member experience. Acting as the program lead, this role will drive a cross-functional effort to understand our current EVP, utilizing internal and external data to define our core EVP and customize elements for critical segments of our talent. This role will partner closely with other HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Talent Insights & Analytics, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and our HR Business Partners to develop recommendations for the business in support of our EVP.

The Principal, EVP will ensure our EVP remains vibrant, relevant, sustainable and aligned with our purpose and brand through an annual review and performance-assessment process.

Through the EVP process, this role will help define the company’s Employment Brand strategy, clarifying and amplifying the key aspects of what makes Whole Foods Market a great place to work. This individual will also play a key leadership role in its execution.

Our EVP will also play a critical role in shaping Whole Foods Market’s Team Member Experience strategy. Given that, this role will also function as the single threaded program leader for our TM Experience Strategy with responsibility for gathering, building, reviewing and progressing business and program plans and funding requests. This role will also act as change lead, utilizing our capabilities across our HR team to ensure these Team Member Experience investments and programs have deep and lasting impact.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience with at least 6 years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Experience leading work within an HR function such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Talent Management, Learning & Development, or HR Shared Services preferred
  • Experience leading or supporting EVP and Employment Brand programs
  • Understanding of how attributes like compensation, benefits, development, leadership quality, work-life balance and role flexibility impact Team Member experience
  • Experience leading complex Human Resources projects and cross functional teams to achieve results against set deadlines
  • Experience implementing projects and programs to broad sets of geographically dispersed stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen, highly analytical and organized
  • Ability to see the big picture and sell a vision
  • Self-motivated and adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the company to achieve results
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and presentation preparation
  • Proven ability to successfully work as a member of a team and to build and maintain relationships with key partners across the company
  • Strong customer service orientation, project management, time management and follow- through skills
  • Ability to embrace change with enthusiasm
  • Advanced computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to travel as required
