What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for partnering with product and project managers, process owners, and other key stakeholder groups to operationalize enterprise-level and intra-departmental change initiatives. The Operations Implementation Specialist will execute on the project/ product lifecycle from creation of business requirements through implementation. The Operations Implementation Specialist will operate as a consultant/Subject Matter Expert (SME) on enterprise and small projects/product and enhancement launches. Direction is received from the Operations Implementation Manager.
Responsibilities

Operations:
- Lead the development and participate in the day-to-day execution of business requirements, test plans, lead and perform User Acceptance Testing, develop and deliver end-user training, job aids, or other communication, create or amend operating procedures, and develop/maintain process flow diagrams for intra-departmental change initiatives
- Proactively communicate to ensure operational readiness for Enterprise and Small Project initiatives
- Participate in vendor capabilities assessment, selection, and conversions
- Identify continuous operational improvement opportunities and service efficiency initiatives; recommend solutions, and lead the implementation of agreed upon changes
- Raises expectations of self by continuously learning and broadening industry knowledge and technical skills
Product Development and Support:
- Support the operational implementation of new products and enhancements to existing products/channels and programs such as (OLB, DAO, EBP, CLOS and Mobile)
- Author, execute and document test cases to identify bugs in before moving to production deployment.
- Review and understand deployment defects, translating those into actionable items for development team(s).
- Perform triage, troubleshooting and analysis of issues and failures reported by team members to determine if the issue is a defect, enhancement, or user-error.
- Develop and produce key management reports to improve efficiencies, minimize Credit Union risk and maintain compliance
- Provide post operational support of project/product and/or enhancement launches.
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act and Alliant Credit Union. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.
Where permitted by applicable law, successful applicants to this position must either have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered (proof of vaccination is required), or be willing to submit a negative COVID-19 test result in advance of each visit to an Alliant facility.
Qualifications

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent required, and you have:
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in project management and working with third-party vendors to deliver technical solutions.
- Functional knowledge of:
- Depository products including checking/savings, certificates of deposit, IRA, and HSA accounts;
- VISA Operating Rules and Regulations, governmental regulations, a solid knowledge of card services’ various networks and processing relationships, and ATM/Network industry product development;
- Remittance processing and electronic fund transfers including ACH, wire transfers; P2P and ability to stay informed on associated regulatory changes and industry trends;
- Core processor solution experience
- Ability to use a continuous improvement approach to develop and enhance policies, procedures, and business initiatives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written and at all organizational levels
- Ability to work with various programming languages within various development areas
- Proficiency Azure, MS Project, Visio, and the MS Office Suite
