ROLE OVERVIEW
The Manager, Sales Planning and Operations will link US packaging programs to available manufacturing capacity, aligning sales plans with the defined capacity, then ensuring production and distribution into McDonald’s restaurants. Work in partnership with our Sourcing and Supply Planning partners to author, update, maintain and execute unified operation plans for multiple programs throughout a given calendar year.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain rolling 9 -12-month capacity plans for graphic programs in cooperation with Sourcing and Supply Planning. Identify opportunities for regional and national promotional windows, including identifying capacity by supplier, lines of supply, number of versions, start and stop dates and other details that impact capacity
- Ensure contact plans, sales efforts and market commits align with program plans and supplier requirements.
- Review contract terms and ensure corresponding cost matrices for promotional packaging are up to date. In situations with a discrepancy work with Sourcing to resolve
- Manage inventory for regional, compliance/legislative and speed to market items. Create and run reports to forecast demand that can be shared among stakeholders (LMA, finance, Sourcing, SP and suppliers)
- Track LTOs and program announcement, commits and execution with SP. Initiate supporting packaging programs and/or inventory builds where needed
- Maintain monthly financial pipeline tracking of variable packaging items including graphics, regional and compliance/legislative packaging.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- 5-7 years in sales planning or operations role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong Project Management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Ability to learn and implement internal/external programs and processes
