Junior Scrum Master
Engage3 is looking for a junior scrum master who is passionate about technology, helps teams, and wants to learn. Partner with our PMO, scrum masters, project managers, product managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate the team’s agile practices.
Responsibilities:
· Be a servant leader for multiple teams and promote agile principles
· Track metrics around team goals and organizational needs
· Raise flags for teams or individuals potentially affecting iteration progress
· Call out interferences that can jeopardize goals and milestones
· Keep team members engaged, involved, and informed
· Maintain data integrity, completeness, and accuracy in team tools for work tracking and reporting
· Ensure meetings such as stand-ups, sprint planning, release planning, and retrospectives take place
· Promote collective team ownership of story completion and sprint goals
· Help team understand and commit to goals and follow through accordingly
· Escalate impediments that need resolution
· Schedule cross-functional meetings to create artifacts as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
· Highly motivated, self-driven, and passionate about delivering great experiences to customers
· Desire to help teams deliver greatness
· Structured in planning and coordination
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Understand how to radiate information outward
· Comfortable influencing and coaching others
· Some experience with Scrum/Agile and software development concepts
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with agile tools and processes
· Can communicate the most valuable information with the least amount of effort
· Some knowledge of various agile, software development, and project management tools (e.g. JIRA)
· Lead various projects for cross-functional and matrixed organizations
· Able to influence and coach the organization on continuous improvement
· Practical experience as Scrum Master for teams
