The GMD Futures Team is looking for an exceptional Senior Program Manager to be the Deputy Program Director (DPD) for a to be named GMD Futures Program. This position will be the Lockheed Martin (LM) leader of a major subcontract to a Prime Contractor where the DPD's day to day work will be for the Prime Contractor's GMD Futures Program Director. The DPD will be responsible for managing all aspects of the design, development, systems integration and test, production support and sustainment of a complex weapons system with a strategic industry partner.

The DPD will oversee a cross-functional, multi-site team comprised of the Program Management Office (PMO), Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality & Mission Success, and Global Sustainment. The DPD will be responsible for compliance to program requirements while meeting cost, schedule, and system performance objectives within a complex contractual incentive structure. The candidate must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic customer environment and managing concurrent execution and capture activities. The DPD needs to be able to translate dynamic customer needs into an actionable plan aligned with the overall objectives of the program. The DPD is expected to routinely brief executive level leadership within Lockheed Martin, the Industry Partner, and with the customer. This PM is expected to run significant portions of major program reviews, and drive program execution across a diverse team in a gray badge environment. The organization will partner with another Industry leader at their work location to deliver GMD capability to the MDA customer.

Responsibilities include: • Establish a new organization in Huntsville, AL, within Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors (IWSS), to streamline GMD Futures program execution. • Develop and execute a hiring plan to support GMD program staffing needs. • Lead a cross discipline organization in an integrated Agile structure with regular engagement with LM and Partners, Chief Engineers, EPMs, functional staff, agile team leads, Integrated Engineering Leadership, Program Managers, and the customer community.• Establish Staffing Working Group process with strategic partner • Ensure critical resources are allocated to alignment with overall GMD priorities. • Ensure adherence to the established baseline and teaming agreement• Build effective relationships with the industry partner and MDA customer• Brief at executive levels of the industry team, LM, and customer
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, Related experience demonstrates proven superior performance in leading teams.

Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor and develop talent.

Demonstrated experienced in building effective relationships with strategic industry partners and government customers.

Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and influence individuals outside his/her team boundaries to accomplish wider organizational goals.

Ability to manage complex, large-scale project schedule with multiple inter-dependencies

Candidate must be willing to be permanently located in Huntsville, AL.

Experience leading teams across multiple geographic locations.

Demonstrated Earn Value Management (EVM) and business acumen.

Successful development program experience

Experience with Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), and other contract types

Subcontract / supplier management experience

Ability to obtain security clearance
Desired Skills:
1. Experience developing an organization for a new portfolio product line.
2. Working knowledge of defense acquisition process.
3. Proposal, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP )preparation & negotiations experience
4. Missile Defense System (MDS) background, including detailed familiarity with both MDS Element design and integration complexities.
5. Experience with agile team structures and agile development programs.
6. Experience with Model-Based Engineering programs.
7. Well versed in MDA-program design, development, and integration methodologies.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
