Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your advanced technical skills to support the MDA with their development of the next-generation ground-based missile defense system? The Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) element of the Missile Defense System provides the capability to engage and destroy intermediate- and long-range ballistic missile threats in space to protect the United States. The SITR contractor will support MDA with systems engineering, program integration, and testing of the GMD weapon system. The SITR team will engage component development and sustainment prime contractors to ensure the weapon system delivers the warfighting capability to meet current and future missile threats. The SITR Contract is a single award IDIQ contract with a 10-year Period of Performance. This program requires dedicated professionals in cybersecurity, program management, program protection, quality, safety, mission assurance; digital engineering, model-based systems engineering, modeling and simulation, specialty engineering, and test.

  • Job Description
    • The Element Program Management and Integration (PM&I) Functional Team Lead is one of the four functional managers supporting SITR. The Functional Team Lead reports directly to the SITR Program Manager and is part of the Jacobs Leadership Team. The PM&I Functional Team Lead develops, maintains, and improves SITR program management and integration capabilities to include the PM&I workforce, processes, and tools to deliver all program management and integration requirements.
  • Primary Responsibilities
    • Overall execution of the GMD Element Program Management and Integration tasks including integrated element scheduling, configuration management, program protection and security, cybersecurity, and Digital Engineering (DEng) environment management
    • Develops and maintains SITR PM&I capability to include recruiting, staffing, and workforce development
    • Manages assignment and allocation of PM&I resources to Cross Functional Teams responsible for specific projects (e.g., Increment 10, GT 14)
    • Ensures consistent application of SITR tools and processes across program management and integration tasks
    • Manages the complexity of working on multiple baselines, resolving schedule interdependencies, and ensuring each Task Order (TO) has the resources required to successfully complete their tasks



Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree and 10 or more years' experience or a master's degree with 7 or more years' experience or PhD degree with 4 or more years' experience
    • Experience working on MDA/GMD or similar MDA programs in program integration role
    • Understanding of MDA organization, programs, priorities, and initiatives
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Desired Qualifications
    • Experience with MDA capability development processes
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
    • Active Top Secret security clearance
    • 15 years progressive engineering or program integration or technical leadership experience
