The transition to electric vehicles is expected to transform how our customers operate fleets. Driven by economics, policy and/or legislation, more than 30% of fleets will transition to electric across the different vehicle classes in the next decade. This translates to 3M vehicles by 2025 and 11M vehicles by 2030 in our North American, European, and Asian markets.

Prologis has a unique opportunity to leverage its real estate, development platform, renewable energy expertise, and customer base to build a market leading turn-key electric vehicle charging business.

As one of the first new hires in a growing new team within Prologis, the Director of Infrastructure Projects and Technology will have an instrumental role to play in advising our customers on solution design and ensuring seamless delivery of infrastructure projects. In addition, the incumbent will be ensuring that Prologis is harnessing state of the art technology.

What’s needed to do that:

• Develop and implement the strategy and processes to design, build and operate EV charging infrastructure at scale, finding a balance between in house capability and leveraging developers and EPCs.

• In line with above, develop contracting approach for EPC services and work with Contracting & Procurement to implement a scalable approach to deployment.
• Develop standardized solution and product designs with defined features, delivery models and base cost to deliver best in class reliability and cost performance of deployed infrastructure.
• Select third party technology and service providers to implement solution and product strategy.
• Provide ongoing sales support to your colleagues in the EV Commercial function and other market facing teams within Prologis.

• Execute infrastructure projects meeting objectives for safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
• Define and monitor KPIs to drive continuous product improvement and innovation.
• Develop a network of suppliers, partners, utilities, government agencies and OEM’s, and stay abreast of the market and technological industry advancements.

• Customer centric and innovative mindset focused on solving customer pain points by providing products and solutions that meet the customer’s need.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task, prioritize and resolve complex issues with minimal direction.
• BS or MS in Engineering strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of projects and technology deployment experience in the energy and/or mobility industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership ability in a high-performance culture with the ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively.
