INTECON, LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Program Support Specialist to support the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Mission Planning Systems (MPS) Capability Drop-4 (CD-4) program.
This position provides a combination of technical documentation, editing, formatting, document management, and project support services in support of Air Mobility Command (AMC) mission planning modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will support the development, review, editing, formatting, publication, and configuration management of a wide variety of technical, operational, and programmatic documents.
The Program Support Specialist will work closely with engineers, analysts, trainers, mission planners, and Government stakeholders to ensure all documentation is accurate, properly formatted, version-controlled, and compliant with applicable Air Force, DoD, and program standards.
The ideal candidate possesses exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills, coupled with experience supporting DoD programs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Program & Administrative Support
- Prepare and maintain meeting agendas, meeting minutes, action item trackers, and Monthly Status Reports (MSRs).
- Coordinate document reviews, adjudicate comments, and track revisions through completion.
- Support leadership briefings by preparing professionally formatted presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
- Assist with task tracking, deliverable status reporting, and administrative coordination activities
- Support data calls and Government requests for information as required.
- Technical Documentation & Editing
- Research, draft, edit, format, and publish program documentation supporting MAF Mission Planning Systems Capability Drop-4 activities.
- Review technical and program documentation for accuracy, consistency, grammar, completeness, and compliance with Government standards.
- Edit and format high-visibility deliverables in accordance with established Air Force, DoD, and program templates.
- Ensure documentation is clear, concise, professionally presented, and suitable for senior Government review.
- Documentation Development & Management
- Support development and maintenance of documentation including:
- Information System Capability Development Documents (IS-CDDs)
- Operational Concepts of Employment (OCE)
- MAF Concepts of Employment (CONEMPs)
- Training materials
- Use cases, scenarios, and vignettes
- Technical reports and briefing materials
- Maintain document repositories within SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other Government-approved collaboration environments.
- Manage document version control, configuration management, and publication processes.
- Ensure all program documentation is current, accessible, and properly archived.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, analysts, trainers, and Government stakeholders to gather information and ensure documentation consistency.
- Coordinate review cycles and facilitate incorporation of stakeholder feedback into final deliverables.
- Support collaborative working groups and program reviews by preparing documentation packages and meeting materials.
- Active Secret clearance is required; Top-Secret with SCI Eligibility is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Technical Writing, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent experience supporting technical documentation and program administration on DoD or Federal programs may be substituted for formal education requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting DoD or Federal programs in technical writing, documentation management, administrative support, or program coordination roles.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and editing technical documentation, reports, briefings, and executive correspondence.
- Experience supporting document review processes and maintaining version-controlled documentation repositories.
- Experience supporting project teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and document quality assurance experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Collaboration and document management tools.
- Task and Action Item tracking tools.
- Highly Preferred:
- Experience supporting Air Force or DoD mission planning programs.
- Experience supporting development or review of JCIDS documentation.
- Familiarity with mission planning systems such as JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, or MAFPS.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
- Familiarity with configuration management and document control processes.
