Energy Project Solutions is looking for an experienced Project Scheduler to join our growing team in the Phoenix, Arizona area. In this role, you’ll work closely with project managers, construction managers, contractors, and clients to develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, identify risks, and help keep large-scale energy projects moving forward. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands both scheduling and the realities of renewable energy construction.

This position will be based in the Phoenix area and will require you to be on-site approximately three days per week. If you enjoy working with project teams, understand how complex energy projects are built, and want to play a key role in keeping projects on schedule, we’d love to connect.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules for large-scale renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to understand project progress and ensure schedules accurately reflect field conditions.
  • Build and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, including activity logic, relationships, milestones, constraints, and critical path activities.
  • Track actual progress against the baseline schedule and identify schedule variances, delays, and potential impacts to key project milestones.
  • Analyze critical and near-critical path activities and identify potential schedule risks before they impact the project.
  • Review contractor schedules and schedule updates to ensure alignment with project requirements and overall project objectives.
  • Participate in project meetings, schedule reviews, and coordination meetings with owners, contractors, engineers, and project leadership.
  • Develop look-ahead schedules and help project teams understand upcoming activities, constraints, and critical milestones.
  • Assist with developing recovery schedules and mitigation plans when projects fall behind schedule.
  • Prepare schedule reports, updates, narratives, and other project controls information for project leadership and clients.
  • Work with field teams to validate progress and understand how construction activities, procurement, engineering, permitting, weather, and other factors may affect the schedule.
  • Support change management by evaluating the potential schedule impacts of scope changes, delays, and other project events.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation and scheduling information.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to support project teams and validate schedule progress.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, construction scheduling, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy, power generation, utility, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects.
  • Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, schedule logic, sequencing, milestones, and schedule analysis.
  • Practical understanding of construction processes and the ability to connect schedule activities to what is actually happening in the field.
  • Experience working with project managers, construction managers, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a field-oriented environment and spending approximately three days per week on-site in the Phoenix area.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as project needs require.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, business, or a related field.
  • Experience with utility-scale solar/PV, BESS, wind, natural gas, or other renewable energy projects.
  • Experience working for an EPC contractor, energy developer, owner’s representative, or construction management firm.
  • Experience reviewing contractor schedules and schedule updates.
  • Experience with resource-loaded or cost-loaded schedules.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other project controls or reporting tools.
  • Experience with project controls, earned value, cost forecasting, or schedule/cost integration.
  • PMI-SP, AACE PSP, or other project scheduling/project controls certification.
