The Project Manager/Estimator is a key construction management professional responsible for estimating and managing projects from initial bid through final closeout. This dual role combines technical estimating expertise with hands-on project leadership to deliver work safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams, the Project Manager/Estimator drives planning, execution, and financial performance while promoting company values and long-term client relationships.

Project Execution and Oversight
- Lead projects from award through closeout, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates during preconstruction.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements.
- Manage subcontractor selection, contract execution, scheduling, and performance.
- Maintain Request for Information (RFI) and Change Order logs, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with field teams to monitor productivity, track materials, and verify installation quality.
- Prepare and conduct owner/architect/contractor (OAC) meetings, documenting progress and action items.
Financial Performance
- Develop, maintain, and manage project budgets and schedules of values.
- Track costs, productivity, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, negotiate, and execute purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Participate in monthly Work-In-Progress (WIP) meetings and provide accurate forecasting.
Risk Management
- Identify potential project risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all safety policies and OSHA requirements are followed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation to protect the company’s contractual and financial interests.
Process Compliance
- Follow company standards for estimating, project management, and closeout.
- Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation.
- With assistance of PC, ensure all closeout deliverables, including O&M manuals, warranties, and as-builts, are completed on time.
Leadership and Mentorship
- Provide guidance, feedback, and development opportunities to Assistant Project Managers, Project Coordinators and Field Superintendents.
- Lead by example in communication, problem-solving, and work ethic.
- Promote knowledge sharing and consistent use of company processes and tools.
Industry and Community Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, bid walks, and community activities.
- Support initiatives for targeted business enterprise outreach (SBE/MBE/DBE) when applicable.

- Engage in ongoing professional development through training, certifications, and industry involvement.

QUALIFICATIONS (Including Education and Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, preferred.
- 5+ Years of Industry Experience – in lieu of degree may be considered
- 2+ Years of Project Management Experience, preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft, required.
- Knowledge and Proficient in Bluebeam and Project Management Software (Procore), preferred.
- Ability to multitask and perform several projects at one time.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and customers.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in construction management
- 5+ years of industry experience (may be considered in lieu of degree)
- 2+ years of project management experience
