Job Summary:

The Contract Management Department, within P&T, was created with the goal of centralizing and standardizing the major Contracts for Avangrid Networks, as well as to apply locally in Avangrid the best practices defined by IBERDROLA’s Global Contracting Group.

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for the consolidation of Terms and Conditions requirements, as well as the tracking and reporting of related processes associated with Framework Agreements for materials, services, and equipment tenders. Contract Administrator ensure that all processes and procedures related to Terms and Conditions are comprehensive and consistent. Additionally, the Contract Specialists will assist in monitoring major contract obligations and ensuring the correct execution and implementation of the contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist to develop and maintain process and procedures related to steps required for the bid and award of contracts including the form and format of specifications, pre-bid meetings, bid clarifications, and focused on providing materials in a common manner.

  • Assist to organize and maintain database or utilize existing systems

  • Assure that information regarding status of contract actions is documented.

  • Work to close outstanding issues related to Terms and Conditions bid Review.

  • Assist on summarize Terms and Conditions, identifying targeted contract language and provisions for decision making.

  • Lead on Terms and Conditions review and negotiations with Contractors / Suppliers.

  • Serve as a link to stakeholders of the organization to the Contract Management team on the contract review and negotiations (Legal, Procurement, Insurance, Risk, Cyber Security, Health and Safety)

  • Assist Contract Management with ongoing FA.

  • Work with Contract Management teams to evaluate overall contractor performance within the P&T’s organization developing and reporting.

  • Assist the Contract Management team in the management of expediting and delivery verification support to meet Contract milestones and commitments of upcoming actions and assist in the communication of contract specifics as needed.

  • Provide support on bids, RFP’s, RFQ’s, and other solicitations as needed. May require summarizing of opportunity, identifying key business requirements, and ensuring unit pricing standards are met

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Contract Management, Logistics or related large scale projects within utility business, energy infrastructure etc.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

NERC Reliability Standards compliance roles and responsibilities may include additional access protections, training, audit engagement, and required evidence retention, and will be communicated by the employee’s management.
