Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for complex technical and scientific projects supporting terminology, data, or knowledge management initiatives. This role serves as both a content and technical authority, ensuring high-quality delivery, effective governance, and continuous process improvement across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor performance of all project tasks and deliverables, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and quality objectives
- Serve as a content and technical authority for the assigned project or task area
- Direct and coordinate teams of analysts, developers, engineers, and subject matter experts
- Lead project planning, reporting, and task or work order management activities
- Maintain and update project management and execution plans
- Support process evaluation, reengineering, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate technical activities across teams to ensure consistent architecture and workflow integration
- Foster an effective team culture, clear communication, and collaboration across stakeholders
- Manage stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including those related to technology transitions and operational continuity
- Support modernization efforts, including cloud transition, automation, and adoption of AI-assisted workflows, while minimizing service disruption
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as:
- Medical or Nursing disciplines
- Scientific or biomedical fields
- Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical area
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project or program management
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, multidisciplinary technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior clinical, scientific, or biomedical research experience
- Experience managing projects involving terminology, ontology, data standards, or knowledge management systems
- Background supporting modernization or transformation initiatives in regulated or mission-critical environments

- Process architecture, evaluation, and improvement
- Terminology and ontology production or knowledge management workflows
- Stakeholder management and executive-level communication
- Project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
- Governance and risk management for technical and data-driven initiatives
- Familiarity with automation, cloud-based platforms, and AI-assisted processes
- Strong leadership, facilitation, and decision-making skills
