We are looking for a non-technical Project Manager who will work closely with our team of Consultants to drive new projects and client engagements. Project Managers are expected to be strong academic writers who can balance the requirements of multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
Although the position is remote, candidates must be located in Southern California - ideally in the Los Angeles area - to allow for local travel to clients on short notice.
Responsibilities of this role
- Manage the day-to-day work required to develop SOPs, reports, and trainings in a user-friendly manner that aligns with BGI and the assigned client’s culture.
- When needed, gather information from BGI’s Consultants and subject-matter experts to create deliverables that align with BGI and the assigned client’s culture.
- Establish deadlines and milestones for all assigned projects to ensure all projects remain on track.
- Maintain all documentation associated with assigned projects in accordance with BGI and client requirements.
- Proactively work to address any foreseen issues with timelines, resources, and/or personnel.
- Recommend opportunities to streamline processes and workflows associated with assigned projects.
- Remain flexible to the needs of assigned clients while balancing multiple priorities and projects.
- Support various operational and administrative duties for the company.
Skills and qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in private sector safety and security or a related field required.
- Degree in Criminology, Law, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Research experience is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- High level of social awareness and emotional intelligence to foster strong, collaborative relationships both within the organization and with external clients.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Ability to multitask and balance competing deadlines and projects.
- Ability to travel domestically as required.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office tools, technology, and applications.
