Responsibilities / Tasks

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from contract signing to after-sales handover. This includes ensuring the project's financial performance, maintaining internal communication, and achieving the best outcomes for GEA. Additionally, you will manage the procurement of equipment and services, plan and maintain project schedules, and handle stakeholder relations both externally and internally. This role involves travel within Norway and abroad.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Take overall responsibility for project execution from order handover after sales to commissioning, handover, and close down.
  • Complete projects according to scope, cost, quality, and schedule, ensuring delivery within budget.
  • Oversee site work, ensuring Health & Safety (H&S) standards are implemented.
  • Handle claims and change orders during the project phase.
  • Perform Risk Management to mitigate and minimize project risks.
  • Capture and evaluate lessons learned from each project.

Your Profile / Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a degree in engineering and relevant project management education. They should exhibit strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. It is desirable for candidates to have background experience in dairy, food, environmental or marine projects.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have proven experience as a Project Manager in the relevant industries.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SAP, CRM, and MS Office applications.
  • Apply project management methodologies and skills in commercial project management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in handling legal and contractual matters.
  • Possess skills in negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Have a successful track record of finishing projects with regards to results, timing, customer satisfaction, and quality.
  • Exhibit fluency in Norwegian and English (written and verbal). The ability to communicate in other languages is a plus.
