Job Description:
As a Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Communicate with project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost and meeting plans are communicated.
- Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
- Communicate schedule and changes to all stakeholders.
- Plan and facilitate project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks.
- Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries.
- Monitor task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and develop mitigation plans.
- Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjust allocations when necessary.
- Ensure that project schedules align with technical solutions and deliverables.
- Gather and organize information related to problems or operational procedures.
- Organize, direct and coordinate the planning and execution of all project activities.
- Oversee the production and delivery of project outcomes.
- Staff and ensure the right personnel are in place for project success.
- Provide ongoing direction and oversight of project team members
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, public policy, or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant, professional experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design
- Curious and open-minded approach to work
- Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
- Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Human-Centered Design, design thinking, and/or service design background
- PMP Certification
- Experience consulting or working for the Federal government
Job Location and Travel Expectations:
- This position is remote. Some travel (25%) is anticipated.
- Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
