Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Injection Molding Project Manager to lead our new product introduction initiatives within the injection molding department. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful launch of new products, ensuring efficient transfer of designs into production, and coordinating cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end project management of new product introduction projects within the injection molding department, from concept to commercialization.
  • Collaborate closely with product development teams, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the injection molding manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design engineers, tooling engineers, production teams, and quality assurance, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment throughout the NPI process.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, and critical path activities, and monitor progress against established goals, making necessary adjustments to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, employing appropriate strategies and solutions to overcome obstacles and keep the project on track.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of materials, tooling, and resources required for NPI projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the NPI process, streamline operations, and enhance overall efficiency and quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and customers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the NPI projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to injection molding processes, quality control, and project management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the injection molding industry, with a focus on NPI projects and successful product launches.
  • Good understanding of injection molding processes, tooling, design for manufacturability principles, and quality control methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing NPI projects from inception to commercialization.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software applications for planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and drive project outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
