Wachter is accepting applications for Project Manager positions in the Wachter Technology Solutions Project Management department at our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. This is an office-based role focused on the business side of low voltage projects: scheduling, purchasing, billing, permitting, and documentation.
Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience managing or coordinating low voltage technology projects such as structured cabling, access control, CCTV, audio video, and Wi-Fi deployments, ideally in new construction across single and multi-site operations.

Is This Role a Fit?
This role is NOT a fit if your experience is mainly in IT infrastructure or network administration (routing, switching, servers, or help desk), or in project management outside the low voltage and construction industry. Those are valuable skills, but they are not what this position needs.

Requirements
At least 2 years' experience managing or coordinating low voltage projects (structured cabling, access control, CCTV, AV, Wi-Fi, or similar), preferably in new construction.
Familiarity with low voltage project documents: bid specifications, engineered drawings, construction take-offs, submittals, and closeout packages.
Knowledge of logistics and procurement, including purchase orders and vendor coordination.
Experience with project scheduling and billing in a contracting environment.
Previous experience in data entry.
Working experience with the Microsoft 365 suite, including Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to work in a strong cross-functional team.
Responsibilities
Manage daily operational tasks for multiple low voltage projects at the same time.
Provide logistical project support.
Create and maintain project files.
Manage project scheduling and billing.
Assist the team with data collection.
Coordinate and manage purchase orders and invoices.
Organize, update, and maintain necessary documentation.
Participate in and implement process improvement activities to improve the program team's efficiency.
Manage the process of sourcing, evaluating, and estimating selected bid opportunities.
Maintain a high standard of quality and professionalism.
Manage and delegate through team resources.
Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA.
Skills Required
- At least 2 years of experience managing projects
- Proficiency with personal computers, email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent customer relationship and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a cross-functional team
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- College education
- Experience with CAT5, telecommunications, fiber, construction, or structured cabling
- Project management experience in construction, technology, or related fields
- Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro and SharePoint
- Experience with engineered drawings, bid specifications, and construction take-offs
