Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can influence, challenge, and drive meaningful change? As Project Manager in Operations Strategy & Projects at Hempel, you’ll play a central role in shaping and transforming our global operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a small, ambitious team of project managers who work closely with senior leaders across the organisation.

If you enjoy engaging with stakeholders at all levels, bringing clarity to complex challenges, and driving cross‑functional progress with confidence and energy, this role offers the perfect platform to grow and make a visible difference.

What will be your key responsibilities?

In close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will own the delivery of strategic and transformational projects. Examples include logistics network optimization, supply-chain resilience and capacity expansion and cross-functional growth initiatives supporting market expansion. With a proactive and structured approach, you will lead cross‑functional project teams, drive clarity, and ensure progress from idea to execution. You will be deeply involved in all aspects of your projects – from analysis and planning to stakeholder engagement and final delivery – creating the change required to scale and strengthen our global operations.

You will join a small, ambitious, and highly collaborative team where open dialogue and continuous learning are part of our daily rhythm. We challenge ourselves and “business as usual,” support each other, and play to each other’s strengths. We work with focus, enjoy a good laugh, and value the informal moments that keep us connected.

Your role will be to:

  • Lead critical projects end‑to‑end — from ideation, planning, business case development and investment proposals to operational and financial analysis, risk management, and execution

  • Drive cross‑functional collaboration and ensure strong alignment across contributors inside and outside the project

  • Engage senior stakeholders through clear, structured communication and confident steering committee reporting

  • Present strategic recommendations to C‑level leaders with clear insights, implications, and decision paths

  • Ensure delivery on commitments within agreed quality, timelines, and resources

  • Provide high‑quality analysis to support strategic decision‑making

  • Work closely with Regional Directors to manage strategic roadmaps and drive execution

Have You Got What We’re Looking For?

Success in this role requires an analytical and collaborative mindset, a strong and confident communicator, and someone who enjoys presenting, influencing, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You thrive in environments where you proactively drive progress, challenge assumptions, and bring structure to complex problems.

We welcome candidates from different educational backgrounds, but we value 3-5 years of experience with operations in a global production company — including understanding of cost structures, customer demands, and the value chain.

You likely have experience in strategy development, strategic project management, business restructuring, and/or operations change management, with a track record of leading and delivering initiatives at the C‑level.
