Lead the modernisation of a business-critical data platform in the Danish public sector

Twoday is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the modernisation of a large-scale data platform for a major public sector organisation.

The assignment centres on transforming an existing data platform to a modern SAS Viya 4 Cloud Native environment while supporting the client's broader ambitions around AI, cloud technologies and modern data-driven services.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, infrastructure specialists and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of a complex transformation programme.

This is a full-time onsite role at the client's premises in the Greater Copenhagen area.

The role

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead a business-critical modernisation programme involving platform transformation, data migration and organisational change.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the migration and modernisation of an existing enterprise data platform

  • Coordinating business stakeholders, architects, developers, infrastructure specialists and external vendors

  • Managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies

  • Driving governance, steering committee reporting and executive communication

  • Planning and coordinating platform migration, cutover activities and transition to production

  • Ensuring successful delivery while maintaining operational stability throughout the transformation

  • Supporting the client's journey towards modern Cloud Native and AI-enabled solutions

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record of delivering complex technology transformation programmes.

Ideally, you have:

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale IT transformation or data platform migration projects

  • Experience with modernising legacy platforms and migrating business-critical solutions

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data management or analytics environments

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technology organisations

  • Experience working in complex, governance-driven environments

  • Experience coordinating multiple suppliers and technical teams

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Danish (mandatory)

  • Professional proficiency in English

The following would be considered an advantage:

  • Experience with SAS platforms, particularly SAS Viya

  • Experience with Cloud Native architectures

  • Experience from the Danish public sector or other highly regulated industries

  • Familiarity with AI technologies or practical use of AI in software delivery, development, analytics or business processes

  • Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies

  • Experience working within formal governance frameworks and programme structures
