Key Responsibilities
•Support the Project Director in the day-to-day delivery of the KEMET data center project.
•Maintain the integrated project programme, milestones, deliverables and critical path.
•Coordinate day to day with the Owner's Engineer, designers, consultants, EPC contractors and vendors.
•Track progress through concept design, detailed design, procurement and construction.
•Keep action logs, decision registers and project documents up to date.
•Follow up site activities, including power, fibre, utilities, permits and external interfaces.
•Review technical submittals and drawings, and flag issues to the Project Director.
•Prepare tender documents and support the technical and commercial evaluation of bids.
•Track the project budget, commitments and invoices against the cost plan.
Maintain the risk register and follow up mitigation actions.
• Coordinate interfaces between civil, electrical, mechanical, ICT, security and utility workstreams.
•Monitor contractor progress, quality and HSE on site, and report any deviations.
• Prepare meeting minutes and weekly and monthly progress reports for the Project Director.
• Track change requests and variations, including their cost and schedule impact.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover documentation.
• Help build KEMET's project-management templates, processes and tools.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
•Approximately 5–8 years of project engineering or project management experience, including at least 5–6 years on data center projects (must have).
•Hands-on experience on projects through design, construction and commissioning.
•Good understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
•Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and vendors.
•Strong planning skills (Primavera P6 or MS Project), with good cost-tracking and reporting skills.
•Interest in working on the owner's side, alongside a senior Project Director.
•Strong communication, organisation and follow-up skills.
•Fluent professional English and Arabic.
•Based in Egypt or willing to relocate to Egypt.
Preferred
•Experience across several data center projects or other mission-critical facilities.
•Exposure to Tier III or equivalent high-availability infrastructure.
•Working knowledge of MV/HV electrical infrastructure, UPS and backup generation, cooling systems, BMS / EPMS, fire protection, ICT and structured cabling, and testing / commissioning.
•Experience working with international engineering consultants or specialist contractors.
•Experience with projects in Egypt, the GCC or the wider Middle East.
•PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification, or working towards one.
