We are looking for a high calibre professional to join our Operation Department as Operation Manager (Operation & Maintenance). Key responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of engineering staff to manage and supervise the daily operation of the chiller plants are fully comply with the statutory requirement and to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Responsible for effective plan, schedule, manage, control and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and resolve operational issues promptly to avoid disruptions in cooling services.
- Continuously monitor chiller plant performance metrics, including energy consumption, cooling output, and system pressures, and implement improvements as needed.
- Manage the entire procurement and outsourcing process for additional & alternation, improvement works and O&M services. The process shall include budgeting, vendor sourcing, quality and quantity rationalization. Prepare tender documents and work with procurement team for tendering.
- Lead, train, and develop the operations team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards. Coordinate and motivate multi-functional task forces of engineers, sales team, innovation team and others for project execution, marketing and new products development.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs related to energy consumption, maintenance, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and incidents; prepare regular reports for senior management and statutory submission. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations and timely procurement of parts and services.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, energy savings, and technology upgrades to enhance plant efficiency and sustainability.
Requirements:
- A recognized university degree in Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with a minimum of 10 years’ working experience
- Extensive experience in chiller plant operation / replacement / system testing & commissioning and related operation & maintenance service
- Proven experience in district cooling system operation is preferred
- Proven knowledge and experience in statutory submission with Government bodies
- Recognized professional membership of HKIE, CIBSE, IMECHE, HKIS or equivalent is preferred
- Hands on experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project is a must
- Good understanding in facility management, chiller plant operation, optimization and energy management
- Proven experience in chiller plant management and contractor management is required
- Good knowledge in safety, health, environmental and quality management
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Possession of Construction Industry Safety Card
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position
